Happy New Year! This is the first Facial Friday of 2017!
I have put together this simple ice cube facial using some of the left over party favors from new years. Ice facials are meant to brighten your skin and give you a healthy glow. Your skin is suppose to tighten and it helps calm down redness and inflammation. I occasionally will use an ice cube on inflamed break outs. The strawberries and champagne happened to be on hand and also have skin brightening qualities. Use this mask for a fresh bright face after all the New Years celebrating.
Strawberry Champagne Ice Facial Mask
2 Tablespoons water
3 Tablespoons Champagne
3 small to medium sized strawberries
1/2 teaspoon glycerine
Put all the ingredients into a blender and puree the mixture well.
Because of the champagne you will end up with some foam. I poured the puree into a measuring cup and held back the foam.
I poured the puree into a silicon mold.
Then I put the tray in the freezer over night to get solid strawberry champagne cubes.
After cleansing I rubbed a few of these cubes over my face. It does turn to liquid upon skin contact so it will be drippy. Just saying, you will want a towel to catch all the drip.
Overall I liked this facial mask creation. When rubbing the cube over my face I noticed the little strawberry seeds seemed a little abrasive. I would pass over your skin with a little less heavy handed. If your skin is sensitive them I would skip using the strawberry. Unless your blender is awesome and puree the seeds into nothing. You get the idea.
