Formulary 55 Rosehip and Clay Mask Facial Friday #38
This weeks facial is an already put together clay mask from Formulary 55. I purchased a vegan skincare box from Velvet Report curated by Lindsey Arnold, link here to her instagram and here for her blog. This is limited edition and in my opinion a great buy. The box is a cute little pink box that can be reused, which I love! La Vie en Rose – Vegan Beauty box is rose themed and includes a Kani Botanicals Rose Toner, Hervibore Botanicals Coco Rose Lip Balm, and Formulary 55 Rosehip Clay Mask.

I love simple products like this. It is what inspired me to learn about ingredients and making my own skincare. I appreciate a company that takes the time to make a good product that not only smells amazing, but also makes my skin sing.
Per the instructions on the packaging, just mix half of the contents with water and stir until it makes a paste or the consistency you want. Then apply to the skin on your face and wear 10 – 15 minutes or until the mask dries.
I tend to not wear masks until they dry. Usually I rinse them right before they begin to settle and dry into that tight hard clay mask feeling. I have fairly large pores and the less stretching and moving I can do to my skin the better. In short, I baby my skin. For this mask, I left it on to dry completely. Since it is gentle enough, I wanted to wear as long as possible for the benefits it offered.
After wearing it to a complete dry, I rinsed and followed up with the Kani Botanicals Rose Toner and my favorite moisturizer from Lush.
My skin seriously felt as soft as a rose petal! When I was done with my facial time and sat next to my hubs to work, he immediately asked me what smelled so good. Fragrances for some may be a little off putting. I personally do not think this mask or the other products included in the Velvet Report rose box over did it. The scents are beautiful and do not linger in a bad way. They smell fresh and natural like they are suppose to. Just as roses would in nature.
Thanks for stopping in this week. Have a gorgeous weekend!
